Privacy and tracking

Your reading trail belongs to you.

This website uses essential browser storage to remember whether you allow optional advertising measurement. If you allow it, Meta Pixel may record pages visited on this site and clicks from a book page to an external retailer link.

What the retailer-click event contains

The event identifies the book title, its catalogue identifier, the page the click came from and the retailer-link destination. The direct benefit is Victoria’s: it shows her whether Facebook and Instagram advertising is introducing readers to books they may enjoy, so she can spend her advertising budget more wisely.

What it cannot tell us

The event records only that you left this site using a retailer button. Amazon and other retailers do not give this website access to their checkout, so the pixel cannot confirm whether you bought, borrowed or sampled the book.

Your choice

The Meta Pixel does not load unless you select “Allow measurement”. If you decline, only your preference is stored in this browser. You can reset that choice below.

Meta processes data under its own terms. You can read the Meta Privacy Policy for details.
